It's another Q&A episode! We love answering your questions and you can send us yours here! Here are the questions we are tackling today:

  • How do you stop preferring junk food over real food?
  • I struggle between 2-4pm. I'm not hungry but I just want to eat. Any suggestions?
  • Can insulin sensitivity cause problems with the menstrual cycle?
  • Is there any hope that I will get off this hamster wheel of wanting to change but not doing anything about it?
  • How do I make the leap from knowing to doing the things I know?
  • I have been hit with adrenal fatigue, empty nest syndrome, and menopause all at once. I am having a very difficult time finding my new purpose in all of this?

Presence. Mindfulness. Let me ask you: how often are your mind & body in the same place? Today we are talking about improving your life through presence. In every moment is potential. In every moment is opportunity. In every moment is feeling. But, if you're replaying yesterday or worrying about tomorrow, you miss it.

Easier said than done, right? Our minds are busy. Are lives are full. How can we be more present when so much is competing for our attention? That's what we're diving into today.

If you aren't listening to "Over It & On With It" by Christine Hassler, you should be! Christine is on the show today and we're talking about discerning between thought & intuition and releasing your past stories. It's a fascinating conversation about wanting & attachment and she really brings clarity to the topic with the recommendation of high involvement, high intention but low attachment.

To connect with Christine and her work, visit her website and connect with her on Instagram!

More About Christine:

Christine Hassler is a best-selling author, keynote speaker, master coach, podcast and TV host who is committed to guiding people and organizations into their highest potential. She left her successful job as a Hollywood agent at 25 to pursue a life she could be passionate about . . . but it did not come easily. After being inspired by her own unexpected challenges and experiences, she realized her journey was indeed her destination.

Her thirst for personal development continued as she dived into self-help books, attended seminars and retreats, got trained in NLP and eventually pursued her master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health and Healing from the University of Santa Monica. As a student and eventually faculty member, the principles of USM are foundational to Christine’s life and work.

Christine knows we are always consistently growing and evolving. There is no “there” and we are never “done”. However, with the right tools and teachers, the journey is a lot easier! This is why Christine has her own coach and always will.

  • I am struggling with balance and not falling back into dichotomous thought of severe restriction versus gluttony.
  • I am continuing to read your book chasing cupcakes and due to the plethora of questions I have anxious and overwhelming thoughts as to not only answering them but also understanding what they mean.

If you're struggling with life, with mindset or just struggling to achieve a goal that means a lot to you, today's episode is just for you! We're diving deeper into the 7 reminders below.

7 Reminders For Times of Struggling

  1. Yes, there will always be reasons why you don't want to do the work or it feels hard. There are also reasons why you do want to do the work. You choose which you give the most energy to.
  2. You are not stuck. You might have stopped, but that's different. There are tons of options available to you.
  3. Growth and achievement feel way better than frustration and struggle. Keep pushing.
  4. You can make this a memory.
  5. Life is too short to be miserable.
  6. Focus on overcoming what gets in the way each day.
  7. You can ask for help.

I love Saturday shows! Today we're talking food guilt, food sensitivity, family meals and so much more!

Here are the specific questions from today's episode:

  • I'm stressed out about my husband's disorganization! How do I overcome my reaction to it?
  • Are the podcast episode notes available for early episodes? I am only on EP 021 and cannot find them on the app or online/website.
  • I struggle with guilty eating. Not feeling guilty for what I eat but feeling guilty for NOT eating. Example: every Sunday my parents cook spaghetti and meat balls and dessert and my mother is a self proclaimed food pusher. Between the Italian in them and the catholic guilt, I feel guilty they take all this time and money to make a nice meal and it’s not really something that loves me back.
  • What do you recommend to someone who has lots of food sensitivities?
  • I've hit a plateau - what advice do you have?
  • Is it detrimental to constantly argue with yourself for positive thoughts?
  • How did you grow your Primal Potential audience?

Are you playing small? On today's episode I share with you a quote I first heard from Tim Ferriss:

"The more labels you apply to yourself, the stupider you become."

I'll amend it slightly to say:

The more labels you apply to yourself, the smaller your life becomes.

Labels limit you. I hear them every day.

I'm an emotional eater. I'm an all-or-nothing person. I'm anxious. I'm a spender. I'm not an athlete.

The reality is, you can choose to show up however you want to TODAY. You are not limited by yourself but you will be limited by the labels you cling to.

If you want to step beyond these limits and into your potential, don't miss today's episode!

A couple weeks ago, I had a powerful conversation about my own need to relax and release. It was a real paradigm-shifting moment for me that came out of a conversation I had with pre & postnatal expert Jessie Mundell.

Though the context of our conversation was related to my experience in pregnancy, the lesson I took away from it is so widely applicable to absolutely everyone who listens to this show.

Sometimes, what matters more than strength is the ability to relax and release. Sometimes, the most important skill we need to develop is the one that allows us to be mentally, physically and emotionally relaxed.

I know for sure that you're going to LOVE this episode!

Here are the questions we're tackling in today's episode:

  • How did you get out of debt?
  • How do you deal with overwhelming thought of I must change everything at one time?
  • I have made changes to my diet. I am eating healthy, exercising and I still can't lose weight. What or where should I start first? I am 47, should I start with blood work to check my hormones?
  • I wish I could join the 12 week transformation class now but it’s in progress right now. I really would like to get started now. What would you recommend I do? Do you have any other program/coaching that I could start?
  • How the HECK do I get out of my slump I've been in for all my life? It's just gradually gotten worse and my accountability has declined, and my husband is supportive but he's not a motivator. How do I keep my accountability and motivation up high?
